How to Apply

Applying is straightforward, and you can begin online from anywhere in the world.

Applying to study engineering and technology at ETAS is straightforward. Our admissions team will guide you through each step. You can begin your study online, from anywhere in the world.

Before You Apply

Take a moment to:

  • Choose the programme that fits your goals — Diploma, Bachelor's (including BS Eng in Digital Systems), or Master's (MEng or MS Eng).
  • Check the entry requirements for that programme (see the programme page).
  • Gather your supporting documents (prior qualifications, identification, and — if you are applying through recognition of prior learning — evidence of relevant experience).
  • If your goal is professional registration or further study elsewhere, confirm the qualification suits that goal before you apply (see the Enrolment Terms for important information on recognition).

The Application Steps

Step 1 — Enquire or apply. Contact the WMU admissions team or complete the online application form. Tell us which programme you are interested in.

Step 2 — Membership and eligibility. Complete any membership and eligibility requirements for enrolment, as explained by the admissions team.

Step 3 — Submit your documents. Provide your prior qualifications and supporting documents, or your recognition-of-prior-learning evidence if you are applying via that route.

Step 4 — Confirmation and fees. Once your application is reviewed and accepted, you will receive confirmation and details of fees and payment. Your enrolment is confirmed once fees are settled or a payment arrangement is agreed.

Step 5 — Begin your studies. Access your online learning platform and begin. Online and blended delivery means you can start without relocating.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

If you have significant professional experience, you may be eligible to have that experience recognised toward a qualification through our Recognition of Prior Learning pathway. Speak to the admissions team to find out whether RPL suits you.

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements vary by programme and are set out on each programme page. In summary:

  • Diploma in IT (MQF Level 4): completion of secondary education or recognised equivalent, plus English proficiency; alternative entry may be available through RPL.
  • Bachelor in IT (MQF Level 6) and BS Eng in Digital Systems: a recognised pre-university qualification, relevant diploma, or equivalent, plus English proficiency; diploma graduates may enter with advanced standing.
  • MEng and MS Eng (standalone): a recognised Bachelor's in Engineering or a closely related field, plus English proficiency; work experience is an advantage.
